The main objective for the Norseman Group was to consolidate everything they were doing manually, into one application and to automate certain aspects of their process. Eliminating the need for manual updates to their agents, transferring a case to the next step in their process by handing it off to someone, remove the need for gathering information and presenting a report the old fashioned way and to create functionality that will allow Norseman Group, Inc. to transfer contacts out of the application and into Microsoft Outlook.
Our first step was to meet with the client a number of times to determine what they were looking to achieve through software and then research whether there was existing software already out there that would meet all of their expectations. Due the specific needs of the client, we agreed that a custom solution would suit them the best.
After spending a short time discovering the goals and options for the client, we moved to the next step in the process, design. Design is usually a fairly intensive step, but it is critical to creating a great application. By providing screens to show the information held on a specific page and use cases to explain those pages, we eliminate the need for most changes down the line, in turn saving time in the development stage.
Through several meetings, we were able to finalize the design and start developing. Once a majority of the development was complete, the customer was able to start familiarizing themselves with the software and get comfortable.
Our customer, after testing and verifying everything is up to the design specifications, was able to go live and start using their software on a day to day basis.
